Microsoft is working on a feature to wirelessly transfer photos from smartphones to a PC. In the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft already devoted a settings menu to the connection between smartphones with iOS and Android and PCs.

Aggiornamenti Lumia found a test version of the Photos app for Windows 10. The Italian site claims that users cannot yet install the Companion app for iOS and Android. If that is possible, then it is possible to scan a code on the screen of the PC and thus set up a wireless connection.

Wirelessly synchronizing photos between smartphones and PCs has been possible for some time via Microsoft’s web storage service OneDrive. That service can automatically import photos into the Photos app. This service seems to be aimed at people who do not use it.

In addition to the Companion, more features are coming in the Photos app. For example, users can mark photos as Favorites, a feature that has been available on Windows Phone and Windows 10 Mobile for years. In addition, users can start adding stickers and effects. The Photos app appeared as a download in the Fast Ring of the Windows Insiders program. Microsoft has not yet commented on the find. It is unknown when the app will go live to the general public.
