Microsoft begins shipping Surface Hub

Microsoft has announced that it has started shipping the Surface Hub to its enterprise customers. Initially, the device with large touchscreen should have been delivered from January 1, but Microsoft faced a delay.

On its blog, the Redmond-based company confirms that business customers will soon receive their ordered Surface Hub. However, several large companies and organizations are already said to be using the device, including the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. With the Surface Hub, meetings and information can be exchanged more efficiently, saving money, argues Microsoft.

Microsoft announced the Surface Hub more than a year ago and already announced the prices in June last year. The device is mainly intended as a kind of digital whiteboard and therefore has a large touchscreen, with a maximum diagonal of 84″. The price is about 22,000 euros, but there is also a cheaper 55″ version with a price of around 8000. euros.

Years ago, Microsoft also sold a large touchscreen computer under the name Surface, with the shape of a table. In recent times, however, the Surface brand name has only been used for tablets and convertibles. The original Surface is now called PixelSense.
