Microsoft has opened an Insider program for its Office software. In this, interested parties can be the first to receive new builds of Office 2016. Microsoft hopes, as with Windows 10, to receive feedback from users with the program.

Anyone interested in an Insider build can sign up on Microsoft’s website. It is also necessary to have an Office 365 subscription to use the early versions of the software. In the coming period, Microsoft hopes to receive feedback from users, before new features are finally rolled out. For the time being, only Windows users can register; a program for Mac users will follow in the coming months.

With the program, Microsoft follows the example of Windows 10, for which there has been an Insider program for some time. This was set up before the release of the operating system and was used to get the software ready for market introduction. Incidentally, the Redmond-based company still uses the Insider Program for Windows 10 to test early versions of Windows 10 builds.
