Lenovo Legion 5 Pro gets 16-inch screen with 240Hz refresh rate

Lenovo is introducing new versions of its Legion 5 and Legion 5 Pro laptops. The Pro model gets a new 16″ screen with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. All models get new Intel and AMD CPUs.

The Legion 5 Pro contains AMD processors and the Legion 5i Pro variant contains Intel processors. Lenovo calls a maximum of the Core i9-12900H for the Intel version and with the AMD variant that is the Ryzen 9 6900HX.

The Pro model has a 16″ screen with a 16:10 ratio and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Lenovo has been using panels with such properties in its laptops for some time, but the refresh rate of 240Hz in combination with this resolution is new. screen has a brightness of 500cd/m² and a response time of 3ms.

Lenovo puts a maximum of one Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti-gpu in the Legion Pro gaming laptops and they have a maximum of 8GB GDDR6 and a tgp up to 150W. The laptops have an 80Wh battery and can be equipped with a maximum of 32GB of DDR5-4800 memory.

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro

The regular Legion 5 and 5i have a 15″ screen with a 16:9 ratio and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. This panel has a refresh rate of 165Hz. The Intel version contains a maximum of a Core i7-12700H and the AMD variant is the Ryzen 7 6800H.The Legion 5 contains a maximum of an RTX 3070 Ti with a tgp up to 140W.

Lenovo will release the new gaming laptops in May. The Legion 5 and 5 Pro with AMD processors are priced from 1199 and 1599 euros. The Legion 5i and 5i Pro with Intel processors start at 1299 and 1699 euros. It is not yet known what specifications those versions have. The Pro versions appear in gray and white and the regular versions in light and dark gray.
