LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on April 5, 2022 for consoles and PC. A specific release date has not yet been announced. Last August, it was only announced that TSS would be released in the spring of 2022.

In addition to announcing the April 5 release date, publisher Warner Bros. Games shared a new gameplay trailer. It shows, among other things, the battles and various scenes from the Star Wars films.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released for current and previous generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles, the Nintendo Switch and Windows. Unlike previous titles from the Lego Star Wars series, The Skywalker Saga will mainly revolve around freedom. The new title features an open-world structure based on all nine Star Wars films. Players are free to explore the environments from those movies. It is possible to fly to twenty planets via hyperspace and engage in space battles. There are three hundred characters in the game that players can unlock.

TSS has been delayed twice since its announcement in 2019. The game was initially planned to be released in October 2020. It was then moved to the spring of 2021, but that also turned out to be unfeasible for developer TT Games. In April 2021, the developer announced that it would postpone the game indefinitely, until a few months later it announced that TSS will be released next spring.
