Leaked specs indicate better cameras in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus – update

Possible specs of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have surfaced on the Chinese social network Weibo. This shows that the dimensions and resolution of the screen do not change compared to the predecessors and that the models have a better camera.

The Weibo user in question has previously made accurate predictions about Qualcomm and Exynos socs, which may give some value to his revelations. According to his information, the dimensions of the iPhone 7 screen remain the same at 4.7″. Also the resolution does not change and it sticks to 1334×750 pixels. With the 7 Plus model, the size of 5.5″ also does not differ, as does the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In terms of the camera, the iPhone 7 may have a 1/2.6″ 12-megapixel sensor with a pixel size of 1.3 µm.

The iPhone 7 Plus would also be equipped with a 1/3 “sensor, also of twelve megapixels. Both models are at f/1.9. Earlier rumors showed that the 7 Plus will have a dual camera. It is unclear whether the device has the same copy as the iPhone 7 in addition to the camera listed.

The working memory of the iPhone 7 would come down to 2GB, according to the data, that of the larger model, on the other hand, is 3GB. There is also a big difference in battery capacity, for example, the smaller variant has a copy with 1960mAh, while the iPhone 7 Plus is equipped with 2910mAh. Respectively, the previous generations of the 6s and 6s Plus were equipped with batteries of 1715 and 2750mAh.

Update 6:29 PM: The Chinese text also mentions the dust and splash water resistance of the phones and a dual camera, which gives more weight to the earlier rumors. Apple also sent out invitations to an event on September 7 on Monday without going into details. Presumably, among other things, the new line of iPhones will be shown.
