Intel has released its new GPU software. The software is more focused on games, is called Graphics Command Center and is available in the Microsoft Store. A sixth generation or newer Core processor is required to use the software.

For the time being, Intel Graphics Command Center only works with the integrated GPUs of the Intel Core processors. However, Intel makes the software with the advent of its own video card in mind. Intel does not provide new details about that video card, which will be released in 2020.

Intel offers its new GPU software through the Microsoft Store. According to the description, the software should provide clarity when setting up complicated-sounding features, such as tessellation and anisotropic filtering. It is still an early version; Intel says it will add more functionality later.

The configuration tool only works with recent Core processors, sixth generation or newer. Those are the CPUs from the Skylake series, which first appeared in 2015. The new software is part of Intel’s marketing campaign to highlight the arrival of its own video card. Intel launched that campaign last month with an appeal to the PC community under the heading The Odyssey.
