Images have appeared online of the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, a large phone with 6.1 “screen and fingerprint scanner. The Chinese manufacturer will probably announce the Android smartphone next week at the IFA electronics fair.

The photos come from the Chinese social network Weibo, where the conscious user more often posts about unannounced Huawei smartphones. There is a fingerprint scanner on the back, below the camera lens. Thanks to that scanner and the lines in the design, the Mate 7 in the images is very reminiscent of last year’s HTC One max.

According to previous rumors, the device has a 6.1 “screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and features Huawei’s own Kirin 920T-soc with four Cortex A15 and four Cortex A7 processor cores and a Mali T624 gpu. The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 should follow the Ascend Mate 2. The first rumor about the device came out in April.

Huawei will hold a presentation at the IFA electronics fair next week; presumably it will announce the new device there. It would be Huawei’s third device in the Mate series of large phones with large batteries. The first Ascend Mate appeared last summer.
