Images show details about Switch game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
Images have surfaced online showing information about the unannounced game that combines Nintendo’s Mario world with Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids. According to the pictures, the game will be released in August or September.
According to the images posted online by Nintendo World Report, 35 percent of the game consists of exploration and 65 percent of turn-based combat. The game takes place in four environments filled with easter eggs. The game features eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach and four Rabbids, who are dressed as the four Nintendo characters mentioned. The game can be played locally in co-op with two people.
The genre of Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is crazy combat adventure, according to the images. The Ubisoft studios in Paris and Milan make the game using the Snowdrop engine. The game would contain twenty hours of gameplay.
The pictures also reveal the schedule for the introduction of the game. The announcement should take place at E3 in June, previews should appear online in July, while the release is scheduled for August around Gamescom. In another slide, September is also mentioned as a possible release month.
The information is consistent with previous rumors, which were published by Kotaku in early May. At the time, that website said it was based on marketing material, but the images in question were not put online. Kotaku now says it’s the same images. In November last year, information about the game first came out via the Let’s Play Video games website.
