Ikea adds the motorized Kadrilj and Fyrtur roller blinds to its collection. The roller blinds are for sale in the Benelux from February. They can be operated with the remote control, with the Trådfri app or with speech.

The Kadrilj roller blind is translucent, while Fyrtur is blackout. The motorized curtains run on battery packs. Ikea supplies both including remote control, which works on batteries. Information about the remote appeared as early as early September, when images of the square switches appeared in FCC documents.

The Kadrilj and Fyrtur curtains can also be operated with the Trådfri app, which Ikea is developing for Android and iOS and which is currently mainly used to control smart lighting. A third option is to have the curtains opened and closed via voice commands. Support is available for Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri via HomeKit.

The starting price of Kadrilj is 119 euros, while Fyrtur costs from 149 euros. Ikea is not yet reporting the different sizes, but it seems that the sizes are 60, 80, 100, 120 and 140 cm.
