HTC has announced the Desire 10 Lifestyle. The phone has a 5.5 “LCD with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and runs on a Snapdragon 400-soc from Qualcomm. The manufacturer asks 349 euros for the device in the Benelux.

The Desire 10 Lifestyle should distinguish itself above all with its ‘art deco’ design and with the sound reproduction. It can play 24bit audio and, like the HTC 10, has BoomSound HiFi speakers, one on the bottom and one on the front.

The phone has space for two nano SIM cards. The variant in the Benelux has a storage capacity of 32GB and space for a micro-SD card. The amount of RAM is 3GB. The Snapdragon 400-soc has four Cortex A7 processor cores at 1.6GHz and an Adreno 305 GPU. The soc has been in telephones since 2013. The HTC One mini from that year had a dual-core predecessor of this soc, the quad-core variant was in the first Motorola Moto G, for example.

The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 lens. On the front is a front camera with a maximum resolution of five megapixels and an f/2.8 lens. The battery has a capacity of 2700mAh. The phone measures 156.9×76.9mm with a weight of 155g and a thickness of 7.7mm. This means it has almost the same size bezels as last year’s smaller One A9. The One A9 would have the same dimensions as the smaller of the two as the Pixel phones that HTC makes for Google. If both Pixels have the same size bezels, it looks like the Desire 10 Lifestyle will have the same dimensions as the Pixel XL. Google will probably announce the Pixels on October 4.

In addition to the Desire 10 Lifestyle, HTC has also announced the Desire 10 Pro, with a fingerprint scanner, a Helio P10 soc from Mediatek and a full-HD screen. That variant is not yet available in the Benelux. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will be available from mid-October, only in black, for a suggested retail price of 349 euros.
