The multiplayer shooter Hell Let Loose, a game that revolves around realistic combat in World War II, goes out of Early Access on Steam next month. The game will also be available later this year for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S and X.

Maximilian Rea, the founder of developer Black Matter, says in a message on Twitter that the game will leave the Early Access phase on July 27. That will also be accompanied by another major update, which will add the Soviet troops, including well-known battlefields such as Kursk and Stalingrad. Rea goes on to say that this year will then conclude with the arrival of Hell Let Loose to current-gen consoles. A release date for it is still unknown.

The creators of Hell Let Loose launched a Kickstarter campaign in October 2017, quickly reaching the $100,000 goal. The counter is now converted to 196,228 euros. The game was released on Steam Early Access in mid-2019 and has since received nine major updates that have added the necessary content. Rea says more than a million copies of the game have been sold in the first year since Early Access began.

Hell Let Loose revolves around a shifting frontline, where strategy and the struggle for resources also play a major role. The makers describe their game as ‘a simulation of war, not an arcade arena shooter’. The shooter is being developed by Black Matter and published by Team17.
