Hasbro comes with scale model Jabba’s Sail Barge from Star Wars of more than meters long

Hasbro may be making a new Star Wars toy: a scale model of Jabba’s Sail Barge, known from Return of the Jedi. This requires 5,000 people to support the project within 43 days. The sailboat is over a meter long and will cost $500.

The large sailing boat can be obtained through the crowdfunding platform HasLab and will only be made if at least 5,000 candidates have supported the project before April 3 by transferring 500 dollars. At the moment, 1168 interested parties have transferred the requested amount.

Jabba’s Sail Barge is by no means a small scale model: the boat will be approximately 1.2 meters long, 35 cm wide and 43 cm high. The model features three different floors that will accommodate Hasbro’s Star Wars action figures with a height of approximately 10cm. A Jabba the Hutt action figure is included with the purchase of the ship, as is a 64-page booklet that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making and design of the scale model.

The side panels of the vehicle are removable to allow potential buyers access to the various decks on The Khetanna. The interior was created in collaboration with Lucasfilm, with parts of the ship never seen before in Return of the Jedi.

The cloth sails can be hoisted or lowered. There is also a hidden area for the smugglers, a lounge for Jabba, an armory, a prison, a cockpit for two people and several cannons.
