ArenaNet announced on Friday that Guild Wars 2 expansion, Heart of Thorns, will hit shelves at the end of October. The standard price of the game is 44.99 euros, but there are also bundles with gadgets for tens of euros more.

The Heart of Thorns pack is the first expansion of Guild Wars 2, released three years ago. The expansion mainly revolves around a new area called Heart of Maguuma, which has a jungle-like appearance. It would be one of the largest areas ever built for the game.

In addition, the expansion contains the so-called Mastery system, a kind of points system. Players can collect points by exploring the game world, completing missions and other types of activities. Existing playable classes have also been expanded with new skills and weapons. Guilds finally get a special place to meet members, in the so-called Guild Halls.

Via Twitter let ArenaNet Friday know that Heart of Thorns will be on the shelves October 23. Those who order the game earlier will receive some bonuses. This includes access to all Beta Weekend Events and an exclusive title. The expansion will cost $44.99. The most expensive version costs 99.99 euros, but it also contains 4000 gems, virtual money with a value of 50 euros, an extra character slot and more.
