GoPro users can now test new early features through a special program. Via GoPro Labs, users can test features that emerge from, for example, internal hackathons. According to GoPro, it is specifically not a beta program.

GoPro says some of the features may never actually go into production. The company thinks the features are “cool enough to give users a taste.” New features are periodically added through dedicated GoPro Labs for users to try.

GoPro Labs is not a beta program, according to the company. The features arise from, for example, internal hackathons, or other projects that GoPro teams are working on.

The company is kicking off the Labs program with two test features. The first is that there will be optimization of ReelSteady GO. The second feature also applies to the HERO 8. In addition, users can create QR codes that can enable special functions. For example, the codes can start and stop motion sensors, or turn on a speed detection.
