Google lets iOS users navigate from Maps with car instead of arrow

Google has released an update for the Maps navigation app that allows users to trade in the blue standard arrow representing the location and direction of the car for different types of cars. This is only possible on iOS.

The update made it possible to replace the navigation arrow with a red sedan, a green pick-up truck or a yellow all-terrain vehicle. By simply pressing the blue navigation arrow during an entered route, you can choose one of the cars. Just as with the traditional arrow, the car symbol is in line with the direction and location of the car.
For the time being, the new functionality of Maps is only available on iOS. It is not yet clear if and when the update also comes out for Android. Previously there was already an option in Google Maps to replace the arrow with a kart from the Mario Kart games .
