The Gmail app for Android now offers the option to show multiple inboxes in a combined view. Mail from multiple accounts can therefore be displayed at a glance. The Mail app on iOS has been able to do this for some time.
With the new version of the Gmail app, the display of, for example, a Yahoo or Outlook inbox can be combined with a Gmail account. Accounts from other mail services could be added to the Gmail app for Android for some time, but it was not yet possible to show all mailboxes in a combined view. Other mail apps, such as the built-in mail client for iOS, have offered this option for some time.
In addition, the Gmail app now shows messages in other accounts in a conversation view, something Gmail has been doing for Gmail accounts since day one. Google has also given the search function within the app a makeover and refreshed the interface.
