French Publisher To Release Asterix & Obelix 2D Fighting Game This Fall

Microids will release the 2d beat ’em up Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All in Fall 2021! from. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows and Mac. The game will work with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles via backwards compatibility.

In the game, gamers must defeat enemies in forested environments, pirate ships and Roman fortresses, Microids writes. Players can choose the role of both Asterix and Obelix. The game has animal enemies and human enemies such as Romans, pirates and Normans.

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! is being developed by Mr Nutz Studio. All animations, characters and environments are hand drawn. This is how the developers want to stay close to the comics. The game can be played alone or in local co-op. The developer calls the gameplay straightforward; players can punch or kick enemies and earn points in the process.
