Firmware Update: Yamaha DVD-S550 V.38

Yamaha has released new firmware for its DVD-S550 stand-alone DVD and DivX player. The firmware is numbered V.38 and can be used from here are downloaded. In this document describes in detail how to update the player’s firmware. Here’s what’s changed in the last two firmware releases for the DVD-S550:

What’s new in Version V.38:

• Correction in OSB menu

What’s new in Version V.34:

• After playing JPEG/MP3, shuffle mode cannot be canceled by tray open/close.
• After playing WMA, DVD-Video playback sometimes becomes slow.
• DivX subtitles cannot be displayed.
