Firmware Update: Ubiquiti AmpliFi 3.3.0

Ubiquiti has released new firmware for its routers from the AmpliFi High Density WiFi System with version number 3.3.0. This is a WiFi system that works with one router and possibly one or more satellites, forming a mesh WiFi system. The system is aimed at an easy installation of a complete Wi-Fi network at home, without the need for in-depth network knowledge. The router is equipped with a small touchscreen and can be set in detail via a iOS– or androidapp. Since version 3.1.1, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 3.3.0:

  • Icons for devices are now selectable
  • Additional SSIDs for each radio can be defined separately
  • DNS-based ad blocker incorporated
  • Security Update (CVE-2020-8597)
  • Wi-Fi channels and power limits updated
  • Resolved MAC address issue when switching to Bridge mode
  • Other minor enhancements and updates

Changes in version 3.1.2:

  • Devices on your local AmpliFi network can now access internet connection on a remote AmpliFi router
  • Improved stability when using IPv6
  • Minor enhancements and fixes
