Firmware Update: Synology Disk Station Manager 4.3 build 3810.2

Synology has released a second update of version 4.3 build 3810 of Disk Station Manager. Synology DSM is the management software that runs on several of the company’s NAS products. The Disk, Cube and Rack Stations offer more than just extra storage space. For example, backups of all clients on the network can be made and files can be downloaded via http, ftp, bittorrent, usenet and eMule, so that, for example, energy-hungry PCs can switch off at night while the download just comes in. In addition, audio and video files can be streamed over the network via the built-in iTunes server, a dynamic website can be hosted using PHP and MySQL and the device can act as a print server.

Compatibility and Installation

• DSM 4.3-3810 Update 2 can only be installed on Synology products running DSM 4.3-3810 via DSM Update. Please log in to DSM and go to Control Panel > DSM Update to install the update.

Fixed Issues

• Fixed an issue where the system partition will probably have insufficient free space if logs of Windows File Service is enabled.
• Fixed an issue where the system partition of DS213+ and DS413 will probably have insufficient free space in some network environments.
• Enhanced the stability of DS213+ and DS413 when they are connected with Synology expansion units.
• Enhanced the overall stability of DSM.
