Firmware update: Sony WH-1000XM3 4.2.2

Sony has released new firmware for its 254 gram WH-1000XM3 headphones with 4.2.2 as the version number. This is an over-ear model where the noise cancellation is provided by the HD Noise Canceling Processor QN1. There are also two 40mm drivers and a USB-C connection. The latter has a Quick Charging function that allows the headphones to be used wirelessly for five hours after charging for ten minutes. The changes in this release are as follows:

Note: Update the Sony | Headphones Connect app to the latest version before performing this update. To use the function (control panel with touch sensor switch) you need version 6.0.0 or newer of the Sony | Headphones Connect app required.
