Firmware Update: Sharp Aquos LC-32/40/46/52LE705E 1.12

Sharp has for his LC-32LE705E, LC-40LE705E, LC-46LE705E and LC-52LE705Edevices from the Aquos line released new firmware with 1.12 as the version number. For a review of the 40-inch model from the LE700E series, which lacks the CI+ slot and the aluminum strip at the bottom bezel, but is otherwise identical to the LE705E series, we refer you to this page. What has changed in this update is unknown due to the lack of a list of changes. We did find the comment that the lip-sync option has been improved. The update can be performed via the following method:

Preparation:

A USB stick is required for the update. The USB stick must be FAT formatted and no larger than 2 GB. No files are allowed on the USB stick. Download both software files to the USB stick. The files are monitor software PRHACM102 and main software PRHCEE112.USB.

The update:

• Switch off the TV with the main switch (left side of the device)
• Plug the USB stick into the USB connection of the TV.
• Press the standby button on the TV (press and hold) and switch on the TV with the main switch.
• After ±10 sec. show the TV the following picture.
• The Update starts automatically.
• An “upgrade success” message will appear once the upgrade is complete. Standby and OPC LED flash.
• Switch off the device with the main switch and remove the USB stick
• Wait ± 20 seconds before turning the unit back on.
• The device has the new software.
