Firmware update: Pentax Optio I-10 / W90 / H90 / X90 1.01

Pentax has released new firmware with 1.01 as the version number for some of its compact cameras, namely for the Option I-10, Option H90, Option W90 and X90. These devices are all equipped with a 1/2.33″ CCD image sensor with 12.1 megapixels. The Optio models also have a lens with a range of 28-140mm, while the X90 has a range of 26-676mm. changes in this update affect the Eye-Fifunctionality, a memory card that can exchange data via WiFi. The list of changes looks like this:

Version 1.01:

• Eye-Fi function setting can be maintained when turn off the camera
• When transfer the image data by using Eye-Fi card, the image data can be transferred until battery indicator shows yellow

Precaution for using Eye-Fi card:

• It does not support Endless mode function for X2 card.
• Card that are unused or that have been used on other devices, such as another camera or a computer, must first be formatted on this camera. Note that formatting a card erases all the data on the card
