Firmware Update: NEC ND-3520A 2.U4 (Liggy & Dee)

On the forum of CD Freaks is new custom firmware appeared for NEC’s ND-3520A DVD burner. This version was composed by two acquaintances from the scene, namely Liggy and Dee. The update is primarily designed to run under Windows, but can also be run under DOS, Linux, and Mac OS X using the embedded Binflash utility. Version 2.U4 is available in two flavors viz slow and RPC1. The difference is that in the first the riplock is on and in the other it is disabled. Riplock means that original silver DVD discs play at a lower speed, making the drive less noisy. RPC1 means the drive is region free. The changelog of this release looks like this:
