Firmware Update: NEC ND-2500A 1.07

NEC has released a new firmware for the ND-2500A. This DVD burner can burn both DVD-R and DVD+R at up to 8x speed. The +RW and -RW variants have to do with a maximum speed of 4x. The top speed for CD-Rs is 32x, and for CD-RWs it’s half here too, namely 16x. The 1.07 firmware can be easily installed from Windows and shows the following changes:

What will be changed with firmware 1.07?

• This update does only add new media information to your burner, there will be nothing changed on writing method or problems in conjunction with some burner softwares.
• This update dont create a dual layer burn function.
• The DvD+R medias below will be recognized with firmware 1.07, but be informed, they won`t be added to our list of recommend medias, because there is no guarantee for optimal burn results and performance.
