Firmware update: Mede8er MED400X2 / MED450X2 / MED500X2 2.0.2

Mede8er has released new firmware for the MED400X2, MED450X2 and MED500X2. The media players from the X2 series are built around a Realtek 1185 media processor and have various functionality, such as gigabit LAN and USB 3.0. The 400 cannot accommodate a hard drive, the 450 has space for a 2.5″ copy and the 500 can handle a 3.5″ model with a capacity of up to 3TB. The changelog for version 2.0.2 looks like this:

New Functionality

• Add custom Genre Covers to flash memory. —
  Make a folder ‘Genre’ and copy up to max 50 genre covers into this folder. 1:1 size is 117 x 172 pixels but 156 x 233 pixels work ok as well. Copy the ‘Genre’ folder to the Skin Folder. Focus on the Skin folder and press ‘Menu’ button and select ‘Set to Skin’ option.
• Xml Search – Sort Search by Latest / Sort Search Alphabetically – Now refreshed after selection
• Force reboot when adding a new skin
• Added new functionality to X2_GUI.xml (for skin developers)
• Improved Max limitation of 1000 moves in Movie Jukebox dB – Now working reliably at +- 2000 movies
