Firmware Update: Draytek Vigor2920 3.6.7

DrayTek has released new firmware for the Vigor 2920 series routers. These routers are suitable for passing ADSL2, ADSL2+, cable and VoIP connections. In the family include the Vigor 2920, Vigor 2920n and Vigor 2920Vn. The download is just over 10MB in size. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:

• Support Huawei E303D, Vodafone K4201, SpinCom GPRS Modem.
• Support NS/ANY/SOA type for DNS cache.
• Support Multiple SNMP Manager Host IP and Notification Host IP(v4 and v6).
• Support user configured daylight saving.
• IPv6 firewall allows incoming packets transferred to certain ports. If the firmware of the router is upgraded from 3.6.6(or before) to 3.6.7 firmware, .all and .rst will have different effects for the incoming packets.
  • .all –> keep routing settings in 3.6.6(or before), (both IPv4 and IPv6)
  • .rst –> block routing packets from WAN in default, (both IPv4 and IPv6)
• Add some TR-069 parameters for setting WAN >> WAN mode: Backup or Always On, LAN >> DHCP relay enable/disable, DHCP relay IP address and Device hostname, LAN >> Bind IP to MAC, VPN >> Create Phase2 SA for each subnet.(IPSec), VPN >> Netbios Naming Packets Pass/Block, Firewall >> IPv6 Group/IPv6 Object, SNMP, and Diagnostics >> Ping Diagnosis.
• Support to block for tunnel ver. 0.2.3.25, hotspot shield with ver.3.19, telnet protocol by using “putty” or “pietty”, and LINE app in 3.5.1.36 (for PC) version and in 4.1.1 version (for mobile) for APP Enforcement.
• Support block page for DNS filter.
• Add Wizards menu.
• Route policy supports VPN LAN to LAN traffics.
• Add an option to force the user clicking on a button to proceed the operation under the option URL Redirect on LAN>>Web Portal Setup.
• Add VALN tag for WAN IPv6 packets if WAN VLAN tag is enabled.

Corrected:

• Some DHCP relay issues
• Some SSH memory leakage issues.
• Load Balance/Route Policy cleaned all sessions when the dropped down WAN reconnected.
• DDNS could not work when updating to freedns.afraid.org
• Could not add DHPC option 66/15.
• Router showed wrong Syslog messages when a VPN LAN to LAN tunnel dropped.
• Router dropped all DNS packets with unknown type.
• Daylight Saving didn’t work with time zone Brasilia (GMT -03:00).
• SSH didn’t work with Macintosh, while it can work on Windows and Linux.
• VigorACS SI couldn’t show Network information when DNS Filter was enabled for Vigor2920.
• Some error on External Device Status page.
• Remove Mhaha, getMessenger, IMUnitive, Wablet from WebIM on CSM>>APP Enforcement Profile.
