Firmware Update: Canon EOS 1D Mark IV 1.1.4

Canon has released new firmware for the fourth generation of the EOS 1D DSLR. The update, which has been given version number 1.1.4, is 14MB in size and downloads are available for Windows and OS X. The EOS-1D Mark IV cameras have a 16.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and two Digic 4 image processors on board. The devices also have an improved autofocus system. Version 1.1.4 should fix the following two issues:

Firmware version 1.1.4 includes the following fixes:

  • Resolves issue: If camera is not attached to a lens, power consumption may be higher than normal, resulting in premature battery drain.
  • Fixes an issue where ‘Err 02’ may be displayed when the shutter button is pressed without a lens attached.
