Firmware update: Apple iOS 4.3.3

Apple has released the third update for iOS version 4.3, which was released two months ago. Apple’s iOS is the operating system for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Updating the software is easy; all that needs to be done is pair the device with a Windows or Mac OS X computer with at least version 10.2.2 of iTunes installed. Version 4.3 adds several new features, such as a Personal Hotspot, and the ability to share audio and video from the iTunes library. This update contains changes to the iOS crowd-sourced location database cache including:

• Reduces the size of the cache
• No longer backs the cache up to iTunes
• Deletes the cache entirely when Location Services is turned off
