Firmware update: Abit AG8 series 25

Abit has released a new BIOS with version number 25 for its AG8 series motherboards. The AG8, AG8-V and AG8-3rd Eye will see a normal POST screen with this update when using an ATi X1300 video card. The motherboards are based around an Intel 915 Grantsdale chipset that frees up space for an Intel processor with an LGA775 socket. The list of adjustments is as follows:

Version 25:

  • The POST screen now show correctly when ATI X1300 VGA card installed.
  • Update CPU microcode.

Version 24:

  • Recalibrate CPU temperature.

Version 22:

  • Fixed the issue that the EIST function does not work with Intel 630 processor

Version 21:

  • Fixed the issue that system may hang when pressing ALT-F2 at full screen logo screen.
  • Fixed minor becoming issue when CPU with 2M L2 cache is installed.
  • Change the adjustable FSB range to 500MHz.
  • Change the default setting of “Execute Disable Bit” to “Disable”.
  • Added EIST control item.
  • Add “C1E Function” control item.
  • Fixed the issue that system may hang when SATA port 4 in used.

Version 20:

  • Enhance four 1GB memory support.
  • FlashMenu now works when using EM64T CPU.
