EKWB releases Furious Meltemi fan with a speed of up to 3500rpm

Slovenian European Championships Water Blocks has announced its European Championship Furious Meltemi 120mm fan. The fan is intended for use with radiators. The Furious Meltemi 120 is sold via the EKWB website for 26.33 euros each.

The EKWB Furious Meltemi 120ER is 38mm thick and has seven fan blades. According to EKWB, this produces a high static pressure of 7.13 mm H2O, with which the fan is mainly intended for use in combination with radiators. The fan uses a double ball bearing and has an expected life of 50,000 hours. The Furious Meltemi also delivers a maximum airflow of 121 cfm at 3500rpm.

Via pwm control, the speed of the Furious Meltemi can be adjusted from 1200rpm to a maximum of 3500rpm, while the standard Meltemi reaches a maximum speed of 1800rpm.EK Water Blocks supplies the fans with a striking red nylon cable of 50cm. The company says it does this to protect users’ fingers: “3500rpm is not nothing.” Users are therefore advised to be extra careful when the fans are on. Furthermore, EKWB advises users to use the fan in pull mode, Hardware.info writes.

The fan is available through the EKWB website, among others. According to TechPowerUp, the fan has a suggested retail price of 25.90 euros, although the fan is currently sold through EKWB for 26.33 euros.
