EA shows first images of Dead Space remake

Motive Studios is working on a remake of Dead Space for publisher EA. The sci-fi horror game is being “rebuilt from the ground up” for the new Xbox and PlayStation consoles and PC. EA shows a first teaser trailer.

The Dead Space remake will be made with the Frostbite engine and will not be coming to the previous generation consoles. The trailer shows footage shot into the engine, but no gameplay. According to Motive, the remake also gets gameplay improvements, but the game stays true to the original.

Dead Space was released in 2008. The game is about Isaac Clarke, who has to repair a spaceship in search of his partner Nicole, but is opposed by monstrous aliens; the so-called necromorphs. It is not yet known when the remake will be released.
