EA Announces Open Beta for Battlefield 2042

Electronic Arts is announcing a beta test for Battlefield 2042. The test will take place in early October and everyone will get access on October 8 and 9. Players who have already purchased the game will get access a few days early.

The beta was announced Tuesday. From October 8-9, everyone can test the game on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Anyone who has pre-ordered the game will also be able to start beta testing on October 6 and 7.

The beta test was expected earlier, but was postponed like the game itself. Battlefield 2042 is now out on November 19 for all of the aforementioned platforms. That’s four weeks later than originally planned.

Conquest mode can be played during the beta days. This is the sandbox mode of the game in which war can be waged on a large map. In addition to this classic Battlefield mode, the Orbital map can also be played. This map lets players not only compete against each other, but also against the clock in a big battle around a missile.

The game will be available to download and install from October 5. The specifications for PC state that you must keep approximately 100GB of storage space free to install the game. Players on PC should also ensure that they have at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU or a Core i5 6600K CPU or better. In addition, 8GB of RAM is required. The GPU must be at least an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 560.
