Driver Update: Intel Network Adapter 27.2

Intel released new network adapter drivers earlier this month with version number 27.2, suitable for various Windows versions. These drivers are suitable for most Intel network cards, both separate plug-in cards and on-board on the motherboard. The brief list of changes for this release is as follows:

New Hardware Support

  • None for this release.

New Software Support

  • Support for Microsoft Windows 11.
  • On Microsoft Windows 11 (and later), devices based on the Intel Ethernet I225 controller use a NetAdapter miniport driver.
  • NOTE: The e2fn driver, which is built around the NetAdapter framework (not NDIS), is incompatible with the NVMUpdate tool.
