Driver Update: ATi Catalyst 5.4

The Catalyst 5.4 drivers have been out for a while, but they were for Windows 2000 and XP. Two days ago, ATi released a version of these drivers for the 64-bit version of Windows XP. The download is over 31MB in size and contains the classic control panel. A version with the Catalyst Control Panel is not yet available. This driver supports the following ATi desktop products:

• RADEON X850
• RADEON X800
• RADEON 9800 series
• RADEON 9700 series
• RADEON 9600 series
• RADEON 9500 series
• RADEON Xpress 200 series

Known Issues

• Installing two display adapters into a system and attempting to play an OpenGL application on the secondary display device currently results in the application failing to play properly. Topic number 737-18923
• The version number is currently unavailable when selecting support information for the ATI Control Panel found in the Add/Remove programs
