Dodgeball game Knockout City is now free-to-play

The dodgeball game Knockout City has been released as free-to-play by Velan Studios. This means that players no longer need game subscriptions, such as PlayStation Plus, Xbox Live Gold or Nintendo Switch Online, to play the game online.

Players who bought the game before June 1, and logged in at least once, will receive a special bundle. This includes special cosmetics, items that give XP boosts and 2000 Holobucks, Knockout City’s in-game currency.

In addition, the sixth season of the game available since Wednesday. This includes a new ball: the Boomerang Ball. This ball can return to the hand of the player who threw it. Furthermore, new arenas are available and there is the possibility to play basketball and football in the Hideout.

Knockout City is a multiplayer game in which players compete against each other as a team. The game revolves around throwing, catching, passing and dodging a ball. Characters who do not have a ball in their hands can turn into a ball. It was developed by Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit creator Velan Studios. Knockout City was released on May 21, 2021 for Windows, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox consoles. It was also available on EA Play until June 1, 2022.
