Developer Fntastic closes its doors after financial flop The Day Before

Game developer Fntastic has announced that it will close its doors. According to the company, the recently released game The Day Before failed to meet financial expectations. There would also not be enough money to develop patches for the game.

According to Fntastic, the game’s servers will remain operational. According to the developer, it is not yet clear what the future of the game will look like. The studio writes on X that all remaining financial income will be used to pay off debts.

Fntastic is the developer of games such as The Wild Eight, Dead Frozen, Propnight and The Day Before and has been around since 2015. The Day Before is a zombie MMO that was released on December 7 for PC. The game was the second most sought after game on Steam, but received many bad reviews shortly after release. The game has on Steam mainly negative reviews at the moment.
