Microsoft is likely to announce the Surface Pro 7 on October 2. Details on European configurations have appeared online. There will be versions with Core i3, i5 or i7. Only the cheapest model has 4GB of RAM.

According to the data that WinFuture has put online, the cheapest version of the Surface Pro 7 will have a Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. There are two Core i5 versions and they both have 8GB of ram. The current Surface Pro 6 series has an i5 version with 4GB of RAM. The German site says that the information comes from traders and that it is about European versions. The prices are not yet known.

WinFuture thinks that Microsoft will use the Core i3-10110Y of the Comet Lake generation in the entry-level model, because the manufacturer has always used a processor from the Y-series in its cheapest Surface models until now. For example, the Surface Pro 5 contained a Core m3-8500Y. The Core i3-10110Y is the successor to that processor, Intel has dropped the m3 designation.

It is not clear which processors are in the other versions. That can also be Comet Lake processors, or Ice Lake variants. There are no other details about the Surface Pro 7 yet, and no images of the new tablets have surfaced yet.

Microsoft announced at the end of August that a Surface event will take place on October 2. The manufacturer will announce new products there. Documents about a new Surface mouse and keyboard have already appeared at the FCC inspection agency. Microsoft is also rumored to be announcing a dual-screen Surface device, internally codenamed Centaurus.
