Dell reveals UltraSharp monitors with thin bezels with Miracast support

Dell has unveiled new monitors in its UltraSharp line at CES. Two screens with thin bezels will appear: a 27″ and a 23.8″ model. In addition, there will be the UltraSharp 24 Wireless, which can wirelessly display the screen of a laptop and smartphone.

Dell speaks of the first InfinityEdge monitors, but the manufacturer has already released displays with very thin bezels, such as the U2715H, in the past. The new U2717DA has a 7.3mm bezel on the top and sides and 8.3mm on the bottom. With the U2417HA, that is 5.3mm and 8.3mm. They are models with a 27″ and a 23.8″ screen diagonal, respectively. The 27″ Ultrasharp has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, the 23.8″ monitor has to make do with Full HD. Both can display 99 percent of the sRGB color space and they are equipped with HDMI 1.4, displayport, minidisplayport, four USB 3.0 ports and an audio interface. The Dell UltraSharp 27 InfinityEdge and UltraSharp 24 InfinityEdge monitors will hit stores at the end of February, starting at $894 and $410, respectively.

Dell will release the UltraSharp 24 Wireless monitor in the Benelux in mid-April. It comes in two versions: one with a 23″ screen, thin bezels and support for wireless charging in the base, the other measures 23.8 inches and can display 96 percent of the sRGB color space.
