Deezer gets support for podcasts after Stitcher takeover

Music streaming service Deezer has acquired the podcast app Stitcher, both companies have announced. Now that Stitcher has been acquired, Deezer will integrate Stitcher’s podcast offerings into its own service and apps.

Stitcher says he has 35,000 radio shows and podcasts in his database. It is not known how much the French Deezer paid for the acquisition of Stitcher.

Deezer says it also wants to have better integration with cars with the acquisition. Deezer can already be used in some cars and with the Parrot headunit, but Stitcher has support for 50 different car models. In addition, Stitcher has support for CarPlay and Android Auto.
