The number of subscribers decreased by 5000, according to the quarterly figures that Vodafone has put online. The number of customers is around five million, of which more than three quarters have a subscription. The rest use prepaid.

Customers pay less and less to Vodafone for a subscription. On average, a Vodafone customer paid 30.50 euros in recent months, compared to 32.70 euros in the same period last year. This is because more and more customers have a cheaper subscription.

The amount of data used in the winter months was 37 percent higher than in the same period last year. Compared to the end of 2015, the number of terabytes consumed decreased by 0.6 percent. About two million customers can use 4G because they have both a subscription and a device that is suitable for 4G, Vodafone said.
