The recently released DLC of the run-and-gun game Cuphead has now sold more than a million times, developer Studio MDHR says. The Delicious Last Course was released June 30 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Windows and macOS.

Studio MDHR writes that the milestone was reached within a week. According to the Canadian developer, Cuphead’s base game took longer to sell so many times. When the indie game was released in 2017, it had sold one million copies after two weeks, wrote the game studio at the time.

The DLC includes a new playable character named Ms. Chalice, five new bosses and several new weapons. The expansion was initially announced in 2018 and was due to be released the following year, but the release has been delayed twice: first to 2020 and then to 2022. The Delicious Last Course is available for all versions of Cuphead and costs 7.99 euros.

Cuphead is known for its graphic style, which is based on cartoons from the 1930s, and for its high level of difficulty. Tweakers published a review of the game in 2017.
