Corsair Releases K83 Media Keyboard with Circular Precision Trackpad

Corsair has announced the K83 Wireless Entertainment Keyboard. It is a wireless media keyboard for the living room, which is equipped with a round touch-sensitive surface and a joystick.

Corsair has provided the K83 with an aluminum housing. The keys have low-profile switches and white backlighting. The keyboard offers 20-key rollover with anti-ghosting. The wasd keys are in a gray tone so that gamers can quickly distinguish them from the black keys. The K83 works wirelessly at 2.4GHz using the included USB adapter and the connection can be set up via Bluetooth 4.2. In addition, a wired connection via USB 3.0 with a type A connector is also possible.

Next to the keyboard is the trackpad and it is of the precision type, so that multitouch gestures with up to four fingers work by default with Windows 10. Below the trackpad are the mouse buttons and above it is the joystick, with which users can quickly scroll through menus and which can be used for games. Next to the joystick is the volume control and the other media controls are combined with the function keys. The keyboard contains a lithium-polymer-ion battery of unknown capacity, which, according to the manufacturer, offers a battery life of 40 hours of continuous use.

The keyboard is available at various European web stores for prices around 140 euros.
