CD Projekt RED has postponed the online Night City Wire event from June 11 to June 25, as “more important discussions are underway,” according to the studio. More about Cyberpunk 2077 would be revealed during the event.

CD Project RED reports the delay on his Twitter account, expressing his support for the Black Lives Matter protests that are taking place mainly in the US. The Polish game company announced in early May that Night City Wire would take place.

The studio did not provide further details about the event, but it was believed to be an online presentation related to Cyberpunk 2077. According to CD Projekt Red’s Community Lead Marcin Momot, “things would be shown” during Night City Wire, and the company has now confirmed that information is about the cyberpunk game. Night City is the city where Cyberpunk 2077 takes place.

More game-related events have been postponed with the protests as the stated reason. This is how IGN announces the start of its Summer of Games Series announcements until June 8. Activision moved the start of new seasons for Call of Duty games and Sony postponed the reveal of launch games for the PlayStation 5.
