ASUS has introduced two variants of the ROG NUC. One variant contains an Intel Core Ultra 7 and an Nvidia RTX 4060. The other contains an Intel Core Ultra 9 and an RTX 4070. It is not clear how much the NUCs cost and when they will appear on the market.

ASUS has equipped the RNUC14SRKU7168A0I with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H-chip. That is a SoC with sixteen computing cores, including six P-cores, eight efficient E-cores and two LP cores. This chip is based on Meteor Lake: Intel’s new microarchitecture that contains chiplet-like tiles. The processor has a boost clock of up to 4.8GHz. The RNUC14SRKU9189A0I is supplied with a Intel Core Ultra 9 185Hprocessor supplied. The SoC contains sixteen computing cores, including six P-cores, eight E-cores and two LP cores, and has a boost clock of up to 5.1GHz.

Both variants of the mini PCs have identical dimensions: 144x112x41mm. Both the RNUC14SRKU7168A0I and the RNUC14SRKU9189A0I have according to ASUS about two DDR5-5600 memory slots and three M.2 slots for PCIe Gen 4 SSDs. The mini PCs have a Thunderbolt 4 port at the back, two USB-A connections for USB 3.2 Gen 2, two USB 2.0 ports, 1 HDMI connection, two DisplayPort 1.4a connections and an RJ45 connector for 2. 5Gbit/s Ethernet. On the front of the devices there is an SD Express memory card reader, a 3.5mm jack and two USB-A connections for USB 3.2 Gen 2. Both devices have Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

According to ASUS, the volume of the mini PCs is 2.5 liters. The manufacturer has given the mini computers a toolless design, allowing users to perform maintenance tasks and upgrades without tools. The computers come with an OG Armory Crate app. This allows color schemes of the built-in RGB lighting to be controlled.
