According to noted Apple-related analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the MacBook Pro with 13.3″ display and a new iMac with 24″ display and modified design are the first to switch from Intel to ARM processors.

Apple would like to release the new models with ARM chip in the last quarter of 2020 or early 2021 at the earliest. The ARM version of the 13.3″ MacBook will have the same design as the current Intel variants and those models with Intel will disappear with the arrival of the ARM version. That is what Ming-Chi Kuo reports to investors, according to MacRumors.

Apple would also like to give the iMac a makeover, something that has been rumored for some time. That iMac with 24″ screen should appear in the third quarter of this year and will then contain an Intel processor. Sometime after that, Apple would like to release a variant with ARM processor, which also makes the iMac one of the first products with ARM in instead of Intel belongs.

Apple is expected to announce Monday evening that it will switch from Intel to ARM for some products. In 2021, according to Kuo, all new Mac models will receive an ARM chip from Apple itself. The company would like to complete the full transition within a year to 18 months. In the second half of 2021, Apple wants to start production of a MacBook with an entirely new design.
