Amazon has launched an app for its streaming service Prime Video for Android TV in the Play Store. It doesn’t seem possible to install the app on a device yet, as all devices seem to be incompatible so far.

Amazon Prime Video for Android TV hit the Play Store on Wednesday, Android Police noted. The page shows ten to fifty installs, presumably testers, and there doesn’t seem to be a device compatible with the app. Prime Video is the streaming service for movies and series from the American web store.

The appearance of the app seems to be a step in the battle between Google and Amazon. Google pulled YouTube from Amazon’s Fire TV and Echo Show devices in November. Both parties are now in negotiations and the Chromecast has a product page on Amazon again. Prime Video recently came out for Apple TV.

The streaming service is already available on some devices with Android TV. Sony and Nvidia have made deals with Amazon to include Prime Video in their software. Until now, however, the app has not appeared in the Play Store.
