Akasa has released the Galileo ST. The small housing is equipped with heat pipes and a cooling block, so that a mini-stx motherboard with up to an Intel Core i3-7300T processor with a TDP of 35W can be passively cooled.

The housing, which has been worked on for a long time according to FanLessTech, has dimensions of 300.6x154x58.5mm. The box is almost entirely made of aluminum and a large part of the inside is occupied by a cooling block. That block is brought into contact with the cpu on the mini-stx motherboard via heat pipes that must be placed in the cabinet.

The cabinet has space for two 2.5″ SSDs or HDDs. At the back are cutouts for WiFi antennas and two serial ports. According to the manufacturer, the cabinet is therefore suitable for business and educational environments. There are USB connections on the front. with a regular type-a connector and a type-c variant, and audio connections are also available.

There are vesa mounting points on the housing, so that the box can be mounted behind a screen, for example. Akasa has not disclosed the price of the Galileo ST case. The manufacturer already has various housings for passively cooled systems in its range. These include boxes for mini-itx motherboards and housings for NUCs.
