At its Max conference, Adobe introduced a new app that allows developers to create augmented reality experiences fairly easily, according to the company, without the need for programming experience.

The Aero app, which is part of the Creative Cloud, should be an intuitive way for developers to create ar experiences. Aero makes it possible to create all kinds of interactive situations with 3D objects and for the time being only runs on iOS and iPadOS.

According to Adobe, users do not need to program and the projects in Aero are built from a visual user interface, with step-by-step instructions available. Developers can use their hands to place objects in space and plot a path, and they can, for example, place triggers so that users can interact with the objects.

It is a free app that uses hundreds of free assets available in the app, which corresponds to the Reality Composer app from iOS 13. Users can also import a large number of 2d and 3d files from, for example, Photoshop or the Creative Cloud.

The app supports PSD files, so existing Photoshop files can be imported and the layers can be viewed in 3D. Created projects can be exported as usdz files, so that it can be sent to others via iMessage, for example.
